Templar's Ancestral Heritage

Templar Breeding Information

TEMPLAR is primarily from the Carthusian, or Cartjuano bloodlines going back to the 1400s in Spain.

Both sides of his pedigree contain the finest lineage of the world renown
Cartujano horses, kept secluded for 3 centuries by the monks in Andalucia from the influx of other breeds ordered by the military stud.  In the 1900s, the most highly respected and top winning Cartujano breeding studs in Spain are beautifully entwined into his pedigree.  Today in Spain, the Cartujano herd is protected and has been named a Spanish National Treasure, at the Yeguada de la Cartuja.

Don't miss this opportunity to infuse these rare, exceptional and treasured bloodlines into your program.

All foals are eligible for registration as a Purebred, or as a Half Andalusian or partbred in the USA (if mare is outcrossed), as well as other studbook registries, depending on the mares bloodlines.

Templar will pass on either a bay gene or a black gene, thus depending on the color of the mare, he is capable of producing black, bay, grulla, buckskin, chestnut, etc.
